Danny Young is a former NBA point guard who played for eight seasons from 1984 to 1992. He was born on July 27, 1962, in Raleigh, North Carolina, and played college basketball at Wake Forest University. Young was selected by the Seattle SuperSonics in the second round of the 1984 NBA draft. Young played for the Sonics, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Clippers during his NBA career. He was known for his defensive skills and ability to shoot from long range. Young played in 590 NBA games and averaged 6.2 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.6 rebounds per game. He retired from professional basketball in 1992.
