Jerry Stackhouse is a retired professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 1995 to 2013. He was born on November 5, 1974, in Kinston, North Carolina. Stackhouse played college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was a standout player. He was then drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 1995 NBA draft. Stackhouse played as a shooting guard during his career and was known for his scoring abilities. He played for several NBA teams during his career, including the Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards, Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks, and Brooklyn Nets. After retiring from playing, Stackhouse went on to become a coach, coaching in the NBA G League and currently as the head coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball team.
