Dale Davis is a former professional basketball player who played for several teams in the NBA. He was born on March 25, 1969, in Georgia and attended Clemson University, where he played college basketball. After college, Davis was selected by the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 1991 NBA draft. He played for the Pacers for nine seasons, where he was known for his strong defense and rebounding. Davis was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1998 and was selected to the NBA All-Star Game in 2000. He also played for the Portland Trail Blazers, the Golden State Warriors, and the Detroit Pistons before retiring from professional basketball in 2007.
