Ed Sadowski was born on June 16, 1940, in Buffalo, New York. He attended St. Bonaventure University, where he played college basketball for the Bonnies. Sadowski was selected by the Philadelphia Warriors in the third round of the 1962 NBA draft. He played for the Warriors for one season before being traded to the San Francisco Warriors, which later became the Golden State Warriors. Sadowski played for the Warriors for three seasons before retiring from basketball in 1966. After retiring, he worked as a teacher and coach.
