Clifford Robinson was a professional basketball player who played as a power forward and center in the NBA. He was born on December 16, 1966, in Buffalo, New York, and attended the University of Connecticut, where he played college basketball. Robinson was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the second round of the 1989 NBA draft, where he spent the first eight years of his NBA career. He played for several other teams during his 18-year NBA career, including the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Detroit Pistons, and New Jersey Nets. Robinson was known for his versatility, as he was able to play both inside and outside, and for his defensive skills, which earned him a place on the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2000. Robinson was also an NBA All-Star in 1994 and won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award in 1993.
