Kurt Rambis is a former professional basketball player who played for several teams in the NBA. He was born on February 25, 1958, in Indiana and attended Santa Clara University, where he played college basketball. After college, Rambis was signed by the New York Knicks as a free agent in 1981. He played for the Knicks for two seasons before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. Rambis played for the Lakers for seven seasons, where he was known for his toughness and tenacity on the court. He helped the Lakers win four NBA championships during his time with the team. Rambis also played for the Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings before retiring from professional basketball in 1995. After his playing career, he worked as an assistant coach and head coach in the NBA.
