Bobby Smith was a professional basketball player who played in the NBA. He was born on January 13, 1946, in Michigan and attended the University of Tulsa, where he played college basketball. After college, Smith was selected by the San Francisco Warriors in the fifth round of the 1968 NBA draft. He played for the Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers during his NBA career. Smith was a small forward known for his speed and agility on the court. He was an important contributor to the Lakers during the 1971-72 season, when they won the NBA championship. After retiring from professional basketball, Smith worked as a coach and scout for several NBA teams.
