Howie Schultz was an American professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 1949 to 1955. He played for the Lakers, Knicks, and Warriors during his career, and was known for his shooting ability and tough defense. Schultz played college basketball at Hamline University before being drafted by the Lakers in 1949. He was a key player for the Lakers during their championship season in 1952, and was named an NBA All-Star the following year. After retiring from basketball, Schultz worked as a businessman and later became involved in politics.
