Doc Rivers is a retired NBA player who played for several teams during his career, including the New York Knicks. He was born on October 13, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. Rivers played college basketball at Marquette University and was selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the 1983 NBA draft. During his NBA career, Rivers played for several teams, including the Knicks, the Clippers, and the San Antonio Spurs. He was known for his playmaking and leadership abilities and was a one-time NBA All-Star. After retiring from basketball, Rivers worked as a basketball coach and is currently the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers.
