Sherwin Raiken, known for his time with the New York Knicks, had a successful career as an American professional basketball player in the NBA. He was born on December 31, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York. Raiken displayed his basketball talents from a young age and went on to excel in college basketball at Long Island University. In the 1968 NBA draft, the New York Knicks selected him in the 10th round. Raiken represented the Knicks for one season before retiring from professional basketball in 1970.
