John Crotty is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 1992 to 2003. Born on July 15, 1969, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Crotty played college basketball at the University of Virginia before being drafted by the Utah Jazz in the second round of the 1992 NBA draft. Crotty played for several teams during his career, including the Jazz, Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets, Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Portland Trail Blazers. He retired in 2003 with career averages of 6.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.
