Bob Kauffman, wearing #44 for the Los Angeles Clippers, was a former NBA player who was born on July 13, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York. He played college basketball at Guilford College before being selected by the Seattle SuperSonics in the first round of the 1968 NBA Draft. Kauffman played for several teams during his NBA career, including the SuperSonics, Buffalo Braves, Detroit Pistons, and Boston Celtics. He was a three-time NBA All-Star and known for his strong rebounding and scoring abilities. After his playing career, Kauffman became a successful coach and executive in the NBA.
