Zaid Abdul-Aziz is a retired professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 1968 to 1978. He was born on April 7, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York. Abdul-Aziz played college basketball at Iowa State University, where he was a two-time All-Big Eight selection. He was then drafted by the Cincinnati Royals in the third round of the 1968 NBA draft. Abdul-Aziz was a power forward/center during his career, known for his rebounding and his scoring ability. He played for several NBA teams during his career, including the Cincinnati Royals, Milwaukee Bucks, Buffalo Braves, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 9.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game over his NBA career.
