George Wilson is a former professional basketball player who played for several teams in the NBA. He was born on December 20, 1952, in Mississippi and attended the University of Cincinnati, where he played college basketball. After college, Wilson was selected by the San Diego Conquistadors in the 1974 ABA draft. He played for the Conquistadors, the Golden State Warriors, and the Los Angeles Clippers during his NBA career. Wilson was known for his rebounding and defensive ability and was a two-time NBA All-Defensive Team selection. After retiring from professional basketball, Wilson worked as a coach and scout for several NBA teams.
