Clippers #14 Franklin Edwards was an American professional basketball player born on February 2, 1959, in Washington, D.C. Edwards played college basketball at Cleveland State and was drafted in the second round by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1981 NBA draft. He played for four NBA teams throughout his career, including the Clippers, 76ers, Indiana Pacers, and Seattle SuperSonics. Edwards was known for his strong defensive skills and averaged 1.3 steals per game over his career. He retired in 1990 and went on to become a college basketball coach.
