Randy Smith was an American basketball player, born on December 12, 1948. Smith played college basketball at Buffalo State College before being drafted by the Buffalo Braves in 1971. He played for several teams during his NBA career, including the Braves, the San Diego/Los Angeles Clippers, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the New York Knicks. Smith was known for his speed and was considered one of the fastest players in NBA history. He played in the NBA for 13 seasons before retiring in 1983. Smith passed away on June 4, 2009, at the age of 60.
