Bison Dele, formerly known as Brian Williams, was a professional basketball player who played in the NBA. He was born on April 6, 1969, in Fresno, California. Dele attended the University of Arizona and played for the Wildcats basketball team. He was known for his impressive skillset, including his athleticism and shooting ability, which led to him being drafted by the Orlando Magic in the first round of the 1991 NBA draft. Dele played for the Magic, the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Chicago Bulls, and the Detroit Pistons during his NBA career. He was a talented and versatile player who could play both forward positions and was known for his excellent rebounding skills. Dele was a crucial player for the Detroit Pistons when they won the NBA championship in 1998. After retiring from the NBA, Dele decided to explore other interests and passions. He changed his name to Bison Dele and traveled the world, pursuing his love for sailing and eventually buying a catamaran named the Hakuna Matata. Tragically, in 2002, Dele and his girlfriend, Serena Karlan, along with the boat's captain and Dele's brother, disappeared while sailing in the South Pacific. Their bodies were never found, and the cause of their disappearance remains a mystery. Dele's life was a complicated and tragic one, but he will always be remembered as a talented basketball player who excelled on the court and as a free spirit who lived life to the fullest.
