Walter McCarty is a former NBA player who played as a power forward and small forward. He was born on February 1, 1974, in Evansville, Indiana, and played college basketball at the University of Kentucky. In 1996, he was selected by the New York Knicks in the first round of the NBA draft. He played for several NBA teams, including the New York Knicks, the Boston Celtics, and the Los Angeles Clippers. After retiring from playing basketball, he became a coach and is currently the head coach for the Evansville Purple Aces men's basketball team.
