Calbert Cheaney is a former NBA shooting guard who played for 13 seasons from 1993 to 2006. He was born on July 17, 1971, in Evansville, Indiana, and played college basketball at Indiana University. Cheaney was selected by the Washington Bullets in the first round of the 1993 NBA draft. Cheaney played for the Bullets/Wizards, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, and Golden State Warriors during his NBA career. He was known for his shooting and defensive abilities. In 825 NBA games, Cheaney averaged 9.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. He retired from professional basketball in 2006.
