Doug Overton was a solid point guard who played for seven teams during his 11-year NBA career, including the Celtics where he wore the #9 jersey. He was a valuable role player who could provide scoring and playmaking off the bench, and was known for his toughness and defensive abilities. Overton played in over 500 NBA games and also had a successful career overseas. After retiring from playing, he worked as a coach at the college and NBA levels.
