Elmer Bennett is a retired NBA player who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 1995-96 season. He was born on June 13, 1970, in Evanston, Illinois. Bennett played college basketball at Notre Dame University and was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the 1994 NBA draft. He played in 20 games for the Cavaliers during the 1995-96 season, averaging 3.0 points and 1.4 assists per game. After his brief stint in the NBA, Bennett played professionally in several countries, including Greece and Italy. He also worked as a basketball coach and mentor to young players.
