Kevin Johnson played college basketball for the University of California, Berkeley and was selected 7th overall in the 1987 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Johnson played for the Cavaliers for two seasons before being traded to the Phoenix Suns, where he played for the remainder of his career. After retiring from the NBA, Johnson became involved in politics and served as the mayor of Sacramento, California from 2008 to 2016.
