Chris Mihm is a former professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 2000 to 2009. He was born on July 16, 1979, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mihm played college basketball at the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a standout player for the Longhorns. Mihm was drafted in the first round of the 2000 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played for the Cavaliers for three seasons before being traded to the Boston Celtics in 2003. He played for the Celtics for one season before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he played from 2004 to 2007. Mihm was known as a solid center who could score inside, rebound, and block shots. He was also a good free-throw shooter for a big man. However, injuries plagued his career, and he missed significant playing time throughout his tenure in the NBA. In 2009, he retired from basketball due to chronic ankle injuries.
