Derrek Dickey is a former professional basketball player who played in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz. He was born on August 22, 1951, in Michigan and attended the University of Cincinnati, where he played college basketball. After college, Dickey was selected by the Bulls in the second round of the 1973 NBA draft. He played for the Bulls for four seasons before being traded to the Jazz in 1977. Dickey was known for his scoring ability and was a two-time NBA All-Star. After retiring from professional basketball, Dickey worked as a college basketball coach.
