Orlando Magic Jerseys – Every Player, Every Era, Every Number

The Orlando Magic have been part of the NBA since 1989, when Orlando received an expansion franchise. Unlike many older NBA franchises, the team has used the name Orlando Magic throughout its entire history.

The Magic have won 0 NBA Championships. Although Orlando has reached the NBA Finals twice, in 1995 and 2009, the franchise has not yet captured an NBA championship.

The first great era of Magic basketball arrived in the 1990s. Shaquille O'Neal quickly became one of the most dominant players in the NBA after Orlando selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft. Alongside Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway, O'Neal helped lead Orlando to its first playoff appearance in 1994 and the franchise's first NBA Finals appearance in 1995.

Later generations of Magic basketball featured stars such as Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill, Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Hedo Turkoglu and many others. Dwight Howard led Orlando to its second NBA Finals appearance in 2009, while the franchise's modern era has produced players such as Nikola Vucevic, Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and many more.

Retired Number

The Orlando Magic have officially retired the jersey number of one player:

  • #32 – Shaquille O'Neal

Shaquille O'Neal became the first player in Orlando Magic history to have his jersey retired. The Magic retired his No. 32 jersey on February 13, 2024, recognizing the enormous impact he had on the growth of the franchise and basketball in Orlando. O'Neal was a four-time All-Star with the Magic and helped lead the team to its first NBA Finals appearance in 1995.

Honored Number – Sixth Man

The Magic also honor their fans with #6 – Sixth Man. This number is reserved as a tribute to Orlando supporters and does not represent a retired player jersey. It symbolizes the fans as the team's "sixth man."

From the franchise's inaugural season in 1989, through the rise of Shaquille O'Neal and Penny Hardaway, the 1995 Finals team, the Tracy McGrady era, the 2009 Finals run led by Dwight Howard, and the generations that followed, countless players have helped create the history of the Orlando Magic.

Every player has a story, and no player should ever be forgotten.

This collection celebrates the complete history of the Orlando Magic and the players who wore the Magic uniform throughout the franchise's history. From the first players of the expansion era to NBA stars, All-Stars, playoff heroes, role players, fan favorites and players whose contributions may only be remembered by longtime Magic fans, every era deserves to be remembered.

Whether you are searching for the jersey of an NBA legend, a franchise icon, an All-Star, a Finals player, a fan favorite, a role player, or a player whose time in Orlando has largely been forgotten, you can find his Orlando Magic jersey here.

We believe that every player who wore the Magic uniform became part of the franchise's story. The biggest stars may receive the most attention, but a team's history is built by everyone who wore the jersey.

Every number. Every era. Every player. Never forgotten.
