Caldwell "Pops" Jones was a professional basketball player who played for several teams in the NBA and ABA during his career. Born on February 4, 1950, in McGehee, Arkansas, Jones was a standout player at Albany State University before being drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the 1973 NBA draft. Jones played for the 76ers for three seasons before being traded to the Chicago Bulls. He went on to play for several other teams, including the San Diego Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets, and Milwaukee Bucks, before retiring from the NBA in 1984.
