George Peeples is a former professional basketball player who played in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets. He was born on March 31, 1951, in Louisiana and attended Louisiana Tech University, where he played college basketball. After college, Peeples was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Pacers in 1973. He played for the Pacers for two seasons before being traded to the Nuggets in 1975. Peeples was known for his defense and rebounding and was a key role player for both the Pacers and Nuggets. After retiring from professional basketball, Peeples worked as a high school basketball coach.
