Clippers #5 Josh Smith is an American former professional basketball player born on December 5, 1985, in College Park, Georgia. Smith played high school basketball at Oak Hill Academy before being drafted straight out of high school by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the 2004 NBA draft. He played for five NBA teams throughout his career, including the Clippers, Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, and New Orleans Pelicans. Smith was known for his athleticism and defensive abilities and was a key player on the Hawks' team that made it to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2015. He retired from professional basketball in 2018.
