Ed Pinckney played college basketball for Villanova University and was a key player on their 1985 National Championship team. Pinckney was selected 10th overall in the 1985 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns and played for several teams over the course of his career, including the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, and Miami Heat. He is known for his toughness and his ability to play both power forward and center.
